More dirty wudu water!

More dirty wudu water!

Lizzie and Abbas carry on the theme of drinking Muhammad’s wudu water….and his blood and urine, and washing with his spit, as Islamic tradition tells us his companions did.

“There was also a time when Malik ibn Sinan DRANK HIS BLOOD on the Day of Uhud and licked it up. The Prophet ALLOWED him to do that and then said, “The Fire will not touch you.” Something similar is related about when a woman DRANK SOME OF HIS URINE. He told her, “You will never complain of a stomach-ache.” “By Allah, whenever Allah’s Apostle spat, the spittle would fall in the hand of one of them (i.e. the Prophet’s companions) WHO WOULD RUB IT ON HIS FACE AND SKIN; if he ordered them they would carry his orders immediately; if he performed ablution, they would struggle to take the remaining water; All quotes from classical Sunni work titled, Kitab Ash-shifa bi ta’rif huquq al-Mustafa (Healing by the recognition of the Rights of the Chosen One), authored by a Muslim scholar named Qadi ‘Iyad Ibn Musa al-Yahsubi.

Quotes from Aisha Abdarrahman Bewley’s English translation, published by Madinah Press (Inverness, Scotland, U.K., third reprint 1991, paperback).
