A Muslim woman justifies wife-beating, and says women should accept it when their husbands beat them, and not ask for help. The background to this is justifying Surah 4:34 where Allah gives the right for men to beat their wives if they fear disobedience.
Also, the hadiths do so, when Muhammad struck Aisha in the chest (Sahih Hadith Sunan Nisai’ 2037), causing her pain, and Umar ibn Al Khattab was known to beat women (Hasan Hadith, Sunan ibn Majah 1986), even with others present, and with Muhammad present (Sahih Muslim 1478).
