Finding wisdom in Muhammad and Aisha

Finding wisdom in Muhammad and Aisha.

The Qur’an identifies Muhammad as the best example to follow (Sura 33:21). Hatun asks a Muslim about Muhammad’s marriage to Aisha, consummated when she was 9 years old. The man tried to justify the “wisdom” behind Muhammad’s actions..

  1. It seems like this Muslim gentleman sees no problem substituting the wisdom of the 21st century with the wisdom of the 7th century. With all of the pornography, atheism, and depravity of today, I don’t see a lot of upgrade in bringing back the science, knowledge, wisdom and practices of the 7th century. One of the most valuable lessons a parent can pass to a child is to avoid a monkey see-monkey do philosophy or a when in Rome, do as the Romans do.
Are there no medical workers in the Middle East who have seen and tried to repair the damage done to child brides by older adult men? Was there no sexually transmitted diseases back in the 7th century? What is the “wisdom” of having Muttah(temporary) wives, sex with female slaves and up to four wives?

  2. “Danny Newton says: It seems like this Muslim gentleman sees no problem substituting the wisdom of the 21st century with the wisdom of the 7th century.”

You are confused by your mistaken substitution of the old Arabian culture with Islamic teachings.
You don’t know where the concepts of Hospitals, alcohol substances, the numbers, algebra, et cetera came from.

“With all of the pornography, atheism, and depravity of today, I don’t see a lot of upgrade in bringing back the science, knowledge, wisdom and practices of the 7th century.”

Most 7th wisdom of practices is about purity.
    Islam outlaws any superstitious occultism.
Modern Hospital is based on the system which is practiced by Medieval Moslems.
The use of Arabic numbers invented by Medieval Moslems is a foundation of our Digital Ages.
The use of alcohol elements in medicines and industry invented by Medieval Moslems is pillar of Modernity.
The use of “Sanad” method in the Historical sources is so far incomparable in other disciple of Science, and is used widely in the highest Scientific journal Quartile Scores, such as Q1 (Review journal).

“One of the most valuable lessons a parent can pass to a child is to avoid a monkey see-monkey do philosophy or a when in Rome, do as the Romans do.”

In Islam, doing anything without getting a religious reasoning and religious justification is useless, even Bid’ah (sin of inventing a new cult).
If one’s intention of doing is just to imitate, it turns as a vain thing.

“Are there no medical workers in the Middle East who have seen and tried to repair the damage done to child brides by older adult men?”

FGM is based on weak Hadith.
Abi Dawud Book 42, Hadith 5251.
Narrated Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah: A woman used to perform circumcision in Medina. The Prophet said to her: Do not cut severely as that is better for a woman and more desirable for a husband. Abu Dawud said: It is not a strong tradition. It has been transmitted in mursal form (missing the link of the Companions). Abu Dawud said: Muhammad b. Hasan is obscure, and this tradition is weak.

“Was there no sexually transmitted diseases back in the 7th century?”

    Not in Islamic family.
Higher standard of life’s hygiene in Islam prevents many diseases.

“What is the “wisdom” of having Muttah(temporary) wives, sex with female slaves and up to four wives?”

It is just a temporary Darura “marriage” with responsibility for avoiding the act of rapeing the female slaves and avoiding the homosexuality or bestiality upon the lonely soldiers.
