Jesus Or Not? What Does The Seed Refer To In Isaiah 53?

Can the Hebrew word “zera” in Isaiah 53 be applied to Jesus or must the Messiah have physical children?

Isaiah 53:10
Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
(NIVUK)

Jews claim that “offspring” (“seed” in KJV, “zera” in Hebrew) requires that the Messiah must have physical descendants. Since Jesus did not marry, let alone have any children, he cannot possibly be the Messiah. Muslims will use this objection.

Jai demonstrates that “offspring” or “see” can and should be applied to Jesus.
