Is power given to Jesus in the Bible?
Muslims use John 5:19 (Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself) to claim that power was given to Jesus, in order to ‘explain’ how Jesus could create life in Sura 5:110. But passage doesn’t say that! The passage actually affirms Jesus is God in the flesh! 18 For this reason they tried all the more to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but HE WAS EVEN CALLING GOD HIS OWN FATHER, MAKING HIMSELF EQUAL WITH GOD. 19 Jesus gave them this answer: ‘Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; HE CAN DO ONLY WHAT HE SEES HIS FATHER DOING, BECAUSE WHATEVER THE FATHER DOES THE SON ALSO DOES. 20 For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, and he will show him even greater works than these, so that you will be amazed. 21 For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased to give it. 22 MOREOVER, THE FATHER JUDGES NO ONE, BUT HAS ENTRUSTED ALL JUDGMENT TO THE SON, 23 THAT ALL MAY HONOUR THE SON JUST AS THEY HONOUR THE FATHER. WHOEVER DOES NOT HONOUR THE SON DOES NOT HONOUR THE FATHER, WHO SENT HIM..
Lord Jesus is the Word of God , The Word CAN DO NOTHING WITHOUT God but so as well God WITHOUT The Word .
The Living Word of God who is also called God The Son is being ‘given’ ALL of the power of Universe by God the Father because the Living Word/The Son is the perfect manifestation and revelation of God without The Father there would be no power to be manifested and revealed hence without the Son there would be also no manifestation & revelation of the power.
Just put Allah and His Word as comparison :
-Can Allah’s Power&Wisdom be revealed WITHOUT His Word or Can His Word reveal Power&Wisdom WITHOUT Allah ?
-Can Allah create WITHOUT His Word or Can His Word create WITHOUT Allah ?
-Can Allah Be All-Powerful WITHOUT His Word or Can His Word be All-Powerful WITHOUT Allah?
Recognizing The Eternal Word of God as A PERSON is not some New Testament ‘theology’ as many people often claim, it’s actually grounded in OT and moreover in Ancient Judaism being preserved in writings especially the Targums ( Judaism interpretation of OT) .

Jesus as well as other believers were given *all* power of everything via Faith, but not the permission to exert it:
Mt 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Jesus needs something to do miracles, such as Faith and other earthy stuffs:
– Needing the existing loaves of the foods, in order to multiply them.
– Needing the clay and the water of pool Siloam to heal the blind one.
Jn 9:11
He answered and said, A man that is called Jesus made clay, and anointed mine eyes, and said unto me, Go to the pool of Siloam, and wash: and I went and washed, and I received sight.
– Needing the holy name of God to revive Lazarus:
Jn 11
41 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. 42 And I knew that thou hearest me always: but because of the people which stand by I said it, that they may believe that thou hast sent me.

Believers as a whole will do GREATER THINGS which is evangelizing the whole world the thing which Lord Jesus in His humanity was limited to do. Remember Jesus is 100% God and 100% human just almost as the same with majority of muslims believing Quran is 100% Uncreated and 100% Created.

You read it in a retrograde. In Islam, Allah created the souls first.
Allah created the “person” or soul of Adam first, and then his earthy body. That’s why in Hadith it is illustrated how Prophet Muhammad in the soul already exists when Adam is being between soul and body.
The use of dust or clay for Adam for his body later is meant to be a Heavenly test for a haughty pride of the demons whose origin is the fire.

Narrated Abu Hurairah: They said: O Messenger of Allah, When was the Prophethood established for you? He said: While Adam was between (being) soul and body.

Time is not other entity in Islam but one “attribute” of Allah the First One (Al-Awwal).
